Sometimes I miss Chris so much I don't think I can bare it. So I go to God in prayer and His Word. It is the only thing that seems to help. I know Chris is in heaven, I know because he made that decision to accept Jesus as his Lord and savior. But what is heaven like? Does he think of me, will he know me when I get there? What does he do there? I have been searching the bible and reading a book called "Heaven, Your Real Home" by Joni Eareckson Tada. Jesus tells us that in God's house there are many mansions, and He is preparing a place for us! Think of it, your own mansion. In Revelations 19:9 the bible says "Then the angel said to me, "Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb (Jesus)!" And he added, "These are the true words of God." Not only is there a mansion waiting for you, but there is a party as well. The wedding supper of Jesus. We are all invited. So will Chris know me in heaven? YES! Thank you Lord! What comfort to KNOW that I will see my son again. Acts 17:26 is says "From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live." If God chooses where we will live, He chooses who we develop relationships with as well, a few miles more and we may have never met the people we enjoy knowing here. In Joni's book "Heaven" she writes "These dear ones in your life are no coincidence. You could have been born in another time and another place, but God determined to "people" in your life with these particular friends. These special ones strike a resonant chord in your heart. In friendship, God opens your eyes to the glories of Himself." I pray that ALL of Chris' friends will come to know Christ, so that we can all enjoy the party Jesus has waiting for us together. Jesus say's "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me." Only by accepting Jesus as our Lord and savoir can we be assured of going to heaven.
